New Things

Got some cool new toys I’m super excited about. First things first, I setup the WordPress iOS app so I can write away from my laptop finally. Trying it out now.
Second, I got some new cool things for my laptop. Most notably, I doubled the RAM (to 4GB) with Crucial sticks. The install was super easy and the effects noticeable. Second, I got a NexStar drop-in hard drive adapter (with FireWire 800) and a 2TB Barracuda 7200 rpm drive.
Why the updates, you might ask? Well, the last piece of kit is Final Cut Pro X. Yes, the one that’s so controversial it has split the pro editing world. I figure, though, that 1) it’s way more powerful than FCE I was using before, and 2) if Apple fixes the problems down the road, more power to me. If not, I still have #1, and it was only $300.
