Codemasters’ Formula 1 2011: Huge aural improvement!

I received my preorder for an Xbox copy from Amazon yesterday, and had just enough time to play a couple quick races, but I’ve got to say, wow what a sonic improvement from 2010. The cars are a lot less dry and the engine tones a bit more consistent. Part of the improvement is in changes of the cars from ’10 to ’11, but they don’t hang on redline anywhere near as much, so that distorted rev sound that was very present in ’10 is now all but gone. The UI system music is similar in flavor but sounds updated, same with the menu bips and boops. I can’t wait to delve in a bit further, but so far, wow!
